Nordstrom Sale Update

My Nordstrom purchases are rolling in at an embarrassing rate!  It feels like every time a friend or family member comes to the door, there are 3 or 4 more boxes waiting on my stoop.  Thankfully (for my bank account), I’m at about a 50/50 success rate at this point.  Below I included what I’m keeping and what I’m taking back with a little personal input on each piece.

The Keepers

Of course I love all of the shoes and can’t bring myself to part with any of them.  The Rag & Bone booties are a splurge but I have 1 other pair I’ve worn for years and think they were worth the money.

Pair #1 |  Pair #2  |  Pair #3 – (Taupe no longer available but here they are in black)

This vegan leather (apparently that’s the fancy way of saying pleather) coat has gold details which I love and are pretty hard to find.  It’s also great quality for the price and actually looks real!

Even though I live in California, I’ve been wanting a camel coat for years!  This Ralph Lauren coat is great quality, has good structure but can still be dressed down for casual dinners.

The Rejects

This sweatshirt is so cute, I just love the color and style.  Unfortunately, it’s a tad bit small and the cotton is not very soft.  If it weren’t $80, I might have kept it but I think I can find something similar for that price.

This sweater is super soft (cashmere – my favorite) and feels like its good quality but when worn as intended (off the shoulder), it sort of feels like a strait-jacket.  It’s more comfortable with the drapey neck but unfortunately the ribbing gives away that it’s not styled correctly.  Sad to return this one.

This cardigan is super cozy and a good price but the quality is not awesome (it looks like it’s starting to fray a little) and just hits my leg in a weird place.  If I were a little taller, I would maybe keep it to travel in and as a fall layering piece but it’s just not right for me.

This was my other camel coat option.  I love how casual this Topshop coat is but unfortunately, it was a little big and has no lining making it very itchy.

How do you like the Hinge booties? They were already out of my size when I went to order but still have my eyes on them…
