Today was a scorcha (please read with a wicked Boston accent) which was reason enough for me to spend hours in the ice box that is Nordstrom. Picture a kid in a candy store, that is me in Nordstrom. I basically removed myself kicking and screaming after making two dressing room runs and three separate purchases today. Luckily, I hit the jackpot with some great buys and am feeling no remorse at all this evening looking over my purchases.
I apologize to your bank accounts in advance but since I scored some perfect summer staples, I had to share what I found:
I’ve been looking for age appropriate cutoff jean shorts (i.e. full booty and partial thigh coverage) for months now. Let me tell you, this is no easy task! I bought these on the bigger side so they’ll hang and (hopefully) cover a little more of my legs than intended. Appropriate or not, I’ll definitely get a lot of use out of these this summer.
I bought these t-shirts ($25 or 2 for $39) in the “lounge wear” section thinking I’d sleep in them. I put one on when I got home and ended up wearing it out tonight. You guys – these t-shirts are seriously that good. SO soft and the perfect fit. I’m in love.
I snagged this book from the home section as I thought it was the perfect accessory for the seating area in my bedroom. I love all things cozy and could this cover be any cuter?
I also ran into Old Navy while I was out and about (obviously):
These shoes are crazy comfortable and perfect for my summer obsession with all things blush. I can’t wait to wear them everywhere! ($18)
A friend had this bag at lunch today and the second I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It’s the perfect size and style to bring everywhere this summer. At less than $40, I won’t feel bad using it as a pool or picnic bag and if necessary, it will even fit my laptop.
