I don’t know about you but this time of year I feel like I am going to a holiday party with a yankee swap happening every other day! They come so quickly and frequently that I feel like I am constantly scrambling for yet another perfect gift. As I am still dealing with the emotional turmoil the suburban “yankee swap” stress caused me last year (fyi – in the city, you meet at a bar, buy yourself a glass of wine and cheers “Happy Holidays”. None of this planning ahead business.), this year I was determined to be prepared! So hopefully, rather than running around like a chicken with its head cut off before your next holiday party, I hope you sit down, pour yourself a glass of wine and cheers to being prepared!

The Corkcicle – Whether you prefer to fill it with wine or water, this ingenious product keeps your drink of choice cold for hours. Since I don’t hang out with many people who would fill it with water (hehe), I’ll share that it fits an entire bottle of wine and is great for concerts in the park, picnics, post-tennis match libations (who me?) and more!
Hair Blowout or Pedicure – Getting pampered is something that a lot of ladies don’t allow themselves to spend the time or money on, so it’s a huge treat to many when they are given a gift certificate (i.e. a free pass) to spoil themselves.
Clutch – I’m giving a few bags this year because I think it’s so much fun to fill them with little surprises. I can’t give too much away incase some of my readers are receiving one from me but think of funny and functional items to throw into a great bag for winter!

Cookbook – Whether it’s used for cooking, decor or just browsing the pretty pictures, cookbooks are loved by many and are always a yankee swap hit. I usually like to wrap and pair with a cute dish towel tied on with a bow.
Manicure – See “Hair Blowout” above – let’s treat ourselves ladies!!!
Workout Class – Let’s face it, almost every single one of our new year’s resolutions will have an aspect of a healthier lifestyle included and fancy workout classes are expensive! Whether it’s Soul Cycle, Yoga, Barre or something else, treat your friend to a class on you and something small to go along with it (yoga mat, tank top, socks, etc.).

Nail Polish – Pick your favorite brand/color and if there is money left over, grab the single pack nail polish remover pads (they are a lifesaver on the go). Personal, practical and fun.
Notecards – Especially around the holidays, everyone is always in need of some notecards. I usually choose a thank you card so the recipient will be ready to go after the holidays.
Ice Stick Tray – I know, it’s so random but I’m telling you, this will be a hit. With so many water bottles having a narrow mouth these days (i.e. Swell, etc.) normal ice cubes can’t be used. PSA – they make ice sticks trays to solve this problem!
***Don’t forget about the holiday giveaway going on now! Not only will you be able to buy all of your Christmas presents for free, there should be some left over to treat yourself to something nice. Happy Holidays!!!***
